I've Been Featured In Another Blog. Hurray for Me!

Oh Happy Days.

I've had the privilige to be a Featured Artists in another blog. Come check it out Handmade Jewelry Club and see what I had to say.

Right now I've been busy juggling two shops, the one at Artfire and my new one at Artistry Arts. I've started a Flickr Group for Artistry Arts, so if you wanna take a peek at it, you're more than welcome to.

Artistry Arts still has about 70'ish Free for 6 Months Memberships left. If you are wanting to dip your foot into the wonderful world of selling your handmade items, but wanna save $$$ or you want to expand your horizons, then definately go there and try.

Gotta go again and do more work. (Actually, I'm taking a break and playing with my baby...she's more fun)

Until Next Time....

Saniki Creations Jewelry

Where You Can Find My Creations For Sale

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a good week and weekend. I've been rather busy promoting my creations again. I decided to not put all my eggs in one basket and have been scouring the internet to see what other sites are out there that I can sell my jewelry.

Besides having my studio in Artfire, I am now listing my creations in a new site called Artistry Arts. They are rather new, my link to my studio there isn't working yet (you can still find me if you click the stores tab), this site is wonderful and the other sellers are just as nice as me.

Right now Artistry Arts has a Seller Membership Promotion:

I took their banner from their site...should of asked first, but I'm sure Sharon (the Owner of Artistry Arts) wouldn't mind....I hope...

This post will be a short one as I need to go and enter more creations into the site. Visit me there, would love to see you.

Artfire Jewelry Design & Jewelry Supply Guild

Having my store based in the Artfire.com site is definately an unique experience. Besides selling and promoting items for potential buyers, different shop owners on this site like to gather around and join, what we call, Guilds. So far I've joined 5 of them. These Guilds are a group of Artisans (sellers) who are of like minds that do the same crafts, have the same goals, make the same type of items or even have a same specific skill. There's even a Guild for people who are moms, have different religious beliefs, live in certain areas, the list goes on.

This is a great way to meet people, get advice, solve problems with marketing/building a business, help each other promote their shop, learn a new skill, or just to chew the fat.

There's one guild that I belong to called "Artfire Jewelry Design & Jewelry Supply Guild". They are have a Guild Promotion right now just in time for Valentines Day. Different sellers who belong to this Guild have banded together to bring some special deals in their own shops.

Here's the link to it http://artfireguildmemberpromotions.ning.com/

I got too busy and was unable to throw in my two cents in. But I took a look at the specials and if I won the lottery, I would be shopping.

Another link that might be of interest is in our Artfire Chatterbox, there you will find other Sellers with promotions going on too.

http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?mop=modload&name=Chatterbox&file=viewtopic&topic=4641&forum=17&start=10

Alternatively you can always search AJDJSS in Artfire and it should bring up a list of different items for sale by the Guild Members.

Until next time...Remember I still have a sale at my shop, Saniki Creations. Buy 1, Get 1 Half Off, Sale Ends February 15th. So Hurry and come visit.

Crochet Anyone?

Has anyone ever tried to crochet? I know how to knit, but I don't crochet and I'm not the best at knitting, but I can follow a pattern, make a pair of baby booties, scarf, hats, legwarmers, blankets....The basic stuff. But to crochet those things were frustrating to me as I just couldn't figure it out, my coordination, I suppose, is not the greatest. It always amazes me how people can take a ball of yarn and a crochet stick (I know that's not the name of it) and create all these wonderful (and useful) things.
A couple of days ago, I was lucky enough to have one of my bracelets (the Seven Hearts Cinnabar) get featured in a blog owned by another Artfire shop seller, Sheila's Crafts. She was looking for shops to feature so I took a chance and told her where my shop was, you can see her blog at http://sheilascrafts4u.blogspot.com/. Of course I needed to know who Sheila was, and see what she made so I took a peek at her store and WOW, she crochets!! You guys should take a look at her shop, she has pot holders, face cloths, coupon holders, and my favorite is the button bracelet. Here's a couple of things in her store right now for sale:

Purple and Green Crocheted Camera Bag

Orange Cell Phone Holder

Crochet Festive Button Bracelet

I usually can look at an item and figure out how something is made and what type of pattern it is to make it. But something about using yarn still confuses me. That's probably why I make jewelry instead.

Be sure to check out Sheila's Crafts, she's a great person and a new friend of mine.

Here's her shop link: http://sheilascrafts.artfire.com/

Until next time, be good, have fun, and check back tomorrow for my newest creation. Here's a sneak peek.

Is it Spring yet?

I have to admit, I just don't like being cold and I don't like the winter. I like the thought of winter, but not being in it. Guess it doesn't help me living in Canada. I always look forward to the sunny weather. Waiting ever so patiently. This winter we had alot more snow than usual. Sure it looked pretty the first couple of days it came down, but after a few weeks of it....Yuck.

In honour of Spring, I designed a new necklace that's now listed in my shop. It's full of unakite, flourite, aventurine, sodalite, phoenix, jasper, and tiger's eye beads. I've also added amber glass and silver metal leaves. Sounds more like a Fall Season neckace doesn't it? But you see, the Tree of Life Pendant is positioned on the bottom of the cluster of beads to represent the coming of Spring. Symbolism!

Until next time, I'm off to turn up the furnace and put on my parka.
